Robert grew up in Lakewood, Colo and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1977 with a degree in Biology. He later attended Central State University in Edmond, Ok. graduating with a second degree in Funeral Service in 1982. He then served his apprenticeship with Clairmont & Margretta Clark. Bob & his wife Mary purchased Clark Mortuary in 1984 from her father Clairmont Clark after her mother Margretta Clark passed away.
Robert has served Osborne as a member or past member of Rotary, Lions, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Osborne City Council for 8 yrs., Little Girls Softball Coach, and several positions in the United Methodist Church. He is a Mason, Scottish Rite member and a Shriner. Bob has served funeral service as District 6 Sec., President and Director. He most recently served the Kansas Funeral Directors Assn. as Director, Sec/Treasurer, President-elect and President for 2011-2012. Bob is a member of both the Kansas Funeral Directors Assn. and the National Funeral Directors Assn.
When not serving other families, he enjoys spending time with their children & grandchildren. He also enjoys his classic cars, street rods and camping.

Mary grew up in Osborne and graduated from Osborne High in 1972. She then attended Kansas Wesleyan where she met and married Bob Gashaw in 1975. She attended Presbyterian/St. Lukes School of Nursing in Denver, Colo. becoming a R.N. in 1980. She and Bob returned to Osborne in 1982, purchasing her parents funeral home in 1984 and renaming it Clark-Gashaw Mortuary.
Mary has worked as a R.N. at the Osborne Co. Memorial Hospital and Osborne Grade School since returning. She has also been a very big part of the operation of the funeral home assisting families with the services honoring their loved ones. Mary is also a member of both the KFDA and the NFDA.
She has served the community as a Girl Scout leader, devoted church member of the United Methodist Church and currently serves as pianist at both the United Methodist Church and the United Christian Church. She is a proud member of the Osborne VFW Auxillary where she is serving as local, district and state (Department) musician. Mary is also a member of Order of Eastern Star.
She enjoys their four children; Angela, Sharon, David & Julie and their 5 grandchildren, and in her free time she enjoys sewing, handiwork, street rodding, and camping.
